Terms and Conditions

This Agreement ("Agreement") is made and entered into as of [DATE] by and between knxldge. ("DJ") and [CLIENT NAME] ("Client").

1. Services

DJ agrees to provide DJ services for your event ("Event") as outlined in the attached Rider ("Rider"). The Rider will detail the specific date, time, location, duration of the Event, and any additional services requested by the Client (e.g., MC duties, specific equipment).

2. Payment

The total fee for DJ services is [AMOUNT] (the "Fee"). Client agrees to pay the Fee as follows:

  • A non-refundable deposit of [DEPOSIT AMOUNT] is due upon signing this Agreement.

  • The remaining balance of [REMAINING BALANCE AMOUNT] is due 3 business days before the Event.

    Payment methods:

  • Credit Card

  • Direct Debit

  • Cash Deposit (at DJ's discretion)

3. Cancellation

Cancellation by Client: Client may cancel this Agreement at any time.

  • If cancelled more than 5 Days before the Event, Client will receive a full refund of any payments made beyond the non-refundable deposit.

  • If cancelled within 5 Days of the Event, Client will forfeit 50% of the remaining balance (after the non-refundable deposit).

Cancellation by DJ: In the unforeseen circumstance that DJ is unable to perform at the Event due to reasons beyond their control (e.g., illness, accident), DJ will use all reasonable efforts to find a suitable replacement DJ. If a replacement cannot be found, DJ will refund all payments made by Client.

4. Client Responsibilities

  • Client is responsible for providing DJ with a safe and secure space to set up equipment, with access to a standard electrical outlet within reasonable distance.

  • Client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or licenses required for the Event.

  • Client is responsible for the behavior of their guests. DJ reserves the right to stop playing music or terminate services if guests are acting in a disruptive or unsafe manner.

5. Equipment

DJ will provide all necessary sound equipment to perform the services outlined in the Rider. Client is responsible for any loss or damage to DJ's equipment caused by Client or their guests.

6. Music Requests

Client may provide DJ with a list of preferred music genres and artists. DJ will use this list as a guide but reserves the right to curate the playlist to ensure a smooth flow and maintain a positive atmosphere at the Event.

7. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, including the attached Rider, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written.

9. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of NSW, Australia

10. Waiver

No waiver by either party of any breach or default hereunder shall be deemed to be a waiver of any subsequent breach or default.

11. Notices

All notices and other communications hereunder shall be in electronic writing via e-mail or texts.

12. Binding Effect

This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the parties hereto and their respective heirs, successors, and permitted assigns.
